In “Escape from the Air Force Boneyard,” three teams are unloaded from a military cargo truck and placed in the middle of an enormous airplane storage field. They have their blindfolds removed and listen to host Rich Eisen as he explains the rules. Each team must escape detainment, tough it out through four separate stages of competition and complete the challenge by locating the transport zone and the host. The first team to complete their mission will win $100,000.

The teams are taken by the guards to the detainment zone and locked up. Then the escape is on.

The Green Team, brothers Justin and Michael, are the first to escape detainment. They are followed closely by the Red Team and the Blue Team.

The Green Team finds trouble early. While sneaking under an old bomber plane to avoid guards, Michael sustains a head injury and must seek medical attention. Meanwhile, the Red and Blue Teams are already making progress in Stage 1.

The Green Team finally catches up. All three teams struggle in Stage 1, as they must complete a physically daunting task in 106-degree weather. The Arizona heat takes its toll on the Green Team quickly, as Justin cries out for water and falls to the ground.

In their struggle, all three teams are captured and sent back to detainment. The brothers on the Green Team, although they have been captured, can’t find the strength to get back to the detainment zone. Justin feels like he’s suffering from heat stroke, and he can’t find the strength to go on. In a first for The Great Escape, the Green Team is forced to drop out of the competition.

Losing a competing team is all good news for the Red and Blue Teams, who are on each other’s tails on the way to Stage 3. Both teams are moving along quickly until the girls on the Blue Team are caught and detained once more.

Somehow, Melissa and Morgan find their way out of detainment and past Justin and Robert of the Red Team. Both teams make it through Stage 3, still neck-and-neck.

In Stage 4, the competitors must decipher a Morse code modulator in order to make it through to the transport zone. Exhausted, both teams struggle to focus on the Morse code flickering in front of them. Finally, the Red Team makes it through to the transport zone.

Justin and Robert of the Red Team drive off into the sunset with the satisfaction of knowing they have won The Great Escape. These two best friends made it through the scalding Arizona heat, the numerous physical and mental challenges posed, and all four stages of The Great Escape to win $100,000.
