In Perception, Pounder will play, Dr. Sabina Callen the therapist assigned to work with Moretti after she is involved in a shooting. Callen is called in as standard procedure and helps Moretti come to some deep conclusions despite Moretti’s objection to needing therapy.

Pounder has earned Emmy nominations for her work in The Shield, ER, The X-Files and The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency. Her feature film credits include blockbusters like Avatar and Face/Off, as well as the indie sleeper hit Bagdad Cafe.

Weisman will play Todd Erlich in Perception. The character is an AUSA official from the New York office sent to handle the investigation into a shooting that involved Moretti. However, due to political parties involved in the case, Moretti’s ex-husband and new boss Donnie (guest star Scott Wolf) worries that she might not be given a fair examination.

In addition to Alias, Weisman has appeared in such series as Fringe, Awake, The Glades and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. On the big screen, he has had roles in Gone in 60 Seconds and Flipped. Weisman is represented by APA.

This fascinating series features one of the most unique crime solvers on television, an eccentric neuroscience professor who is recruited by the FBI to help solve complex cases. Emmy® and Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Eric McCormack stars as Dr. Daniel Pierce, who possesses an intimate knowledge of human behavior and a masterful understanding of the way the mind works. Although Pierce’s mind may be brilliant, it’s also damaged as he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Rachael Leigh Cook co-stars as FBI agent Kate Moretti, Pierce’s former student who has recruited Pierce to consult on cases. Also starring are Arjay Smith, Kelly Rowan and LeVar Burton. In addition, season two will feature special guest star Scott Wolf (Party of Five, V, Everwood) as Donnie, Kate’s soon-to-be ex-husband. Perception was created by executive producer Ken Biller and co-executive producer Mike Sussman, with McCormack serving as producer. The series comes to TNT from ABC Studios.

TNT’s new unscripted procedural drama follows two top-notch female investigators as they dig into small town murder cases that have lingered for years without answers or closure. Kelly Siegler, a Texas prosecutor for 21 years who has successfully tried 68 murder cases, and Yolanda McClary, a crime scene investigator who worked more than 7,000 cases in her 26 years in the Las Vegas Police Department, are putting their vast knowledge and experience to work helping local law-enforcement officers and families of violent-crime victims get to the truth. With a fresh set of eyes on old evidence, superior interrogation skills and access to advanced DNA technology and lab testing, Siegler and McClary are determined to bring about a legal and emotional resolution. Taking on a different unsolved crime each week, they will carefully re-examine evidence, question suspects and witnesses, and chase down leads in order to solve cases that would have otherwise remained cold indefinitely. TNT has ordered eight episodes of Cold Justice, which comes to the network from Wolf Films and Magical Elves. In Perception, Qualls will play Agent Rudy Fleckner, a young, tech-savvy FBI agent who specializes in investigating cyber crimes. When an online social game Caleidoscope becomes the center of a homicide case, Pierce relies on Fleckner to decipher the clues within this virtual world. By digging into a suspect’s online account Fleckner hopes to bring forth evidence that sheds light on a case in which the line between reality and fantasy becomes blurred.

TNT‘s hit series Perception, starring Eric McCormack, has begun production on its second season. The drama, which is produced for TNT by ABC Studios, ranked among basic cable’s Top 3 new series of 2012. TNT has ordered 13 episodes for the second season of Perception, which is slated to begin this summer.

In Perception, Wolf will play Donnie, a charismatic, fast-rising Assistant U.S. Attorney recently transferred back to Chicago. Donnie is less concerned with doing what’s right than with what’s right for Donnie. He’s a blue-collar, Irish-Catholic kid from the south side who loves the White Sox. While Donnie claims his transfer back to Chicago was completely random, he has a hidden agenda involving Kate (Rachael Leigh Cook), his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Perception, which comes to TNT from ABC Studios, stars Eric McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscientist and university professor with a unique way of seeing the world. Pierce is called upon by his former student – FBI agent Kate Moretti, played by Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That) – to help the federal government solve complex criminal cases. Perception, which also stars Arjay Smith (The Day After Tomorrow), LeVar Burton (Roots) and Kelly Rowan (The O.C.), is about to start production on its second season, which premieres in summer 2013.

That gives TNT more hits than any other basic cable network. TNT also claimed the Top 3 new series of 2012, marking the third consecutive year the network has launched the year’s #1 basic cable series.

TNT’s newest hits – Major Crimes, Dallas and Perception – burst onto the scene as basic cable’s Top 3 new series of 2012. This marks the third consecutive year TNT has claimed basic cable’s #1 new series, following top rankings by Rizzoli & Isles in 2010 and Falling Skies in 2011.

TNT claims four of basic cable’s Top 20 original series among adults 25-54 – Falling Skies (3 million), The Closer (2.8 million), Rizzoli & Isles (2.7 million) and Dallas (2.6 million) – giving the network more than any other basic cable programmer.

TNT has grown its total audience for scripted originals by +5% compared to the network’s 2011 average.

Earlier this year, TNT’s record-smashing series The Closer bid farewell with 11.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched series finale in basic cable history.

TNT’s original dramas continue to benefit from strong time-shifted viewing gains, a strong indication that millions of viewers are making a concerted effort to catch every episode of their favorites. The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles surpassed 3 million time-shifting viewers in 2012, while Major Crimes, Perception, Dallas and Falling Skies each exceeded 2 million.

TNT is closing out the year on a high note, with exceptional Q4 2012 growth in primetime among total viewers (+7%), adults 18-49 (+11%) and adults 25-54 (+8%) when compared to Q4 2011.

Looking ahead to 2012, TNT is ramping up its strategy to feature original programming year-round starting Monday, Jan. 28, with the second season of Dallas. The following week, TNT premieres the new medical drama Monday Mornings, starring Ving Rhames, Albert Molina, Jamie Bamber and Jennifer Finnigan. The series is executive-produced by David E. Kelley, Bill D’Elia and neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

February will also mark the fifth-season premiere of TNT’s acclaimed police drama Southland and the launch of the gripping new reality series Boston’s Finest. Other shows on the TNT slate include the new unscripted series The Hero and 72 Hours, as well as new seasons of series like Rizzoli & Isles, Falling Skies, Major Crimes, Perception and more.
